🐾 Simpets Breeding & Genetics Guide

🐾 Classics ( Simmies ) Breeding System in BETA

Breeding in Simpets is designed to feel natural, a little unpredictable, and always exciting. Each baby is a true genetic mix of both parents — no two offspring are ever exactly the same!

🌼 The Baby’s Look

When two Simpets breed, the baby’s base appearance is created by merging both parents’ images. One parent may appear slightly stronger than the other, but both always contribute.

💡 The base is always merged first — markings are applied after.

🎨 Markings

Markings are inherited through genetics. Each parent may pass down some, all, or none of their markings.

🧬 Dominant vs Recessive

Every marking belongs to one of two genetic types:

Example:
If only one parent has a dominant marking, the baby still has a good chance to inherit it. If a marking is recessive, both parents usually need to carry it for it to appear.

🎲 Chance & Variety

Genetics are never guaranteed. Even if a baby can inherit a marking, chance still plays a role.

🧦 Special Traits (Example: Socks)

Some markings use deeper genetics.

💡 A pet may not show a marking but still pass it on!
